Definition:
And then some – A great deal more, more of the same. It’s an intensifier used to convey that something exceeds expectations or boundaries. Examples include: “Their house needs new paint, a new roof, new landscaping, and then some,” or “There were speeches by the president, vice-president, chief financial officer, general counsel, and then some.” The phrase goes back to the early 1900s.
