Definitions and Origins
“Sleep on it” is a familiar expression that suggests delaying a decision until the next day in order to think it over more carefully or gain perspective after a good night’s sleep. The practice and the term are as ancient as the desire for a comfortable mattress. It first appeared in writing back in 1519, when an anonymous compiler recorded that King Henry VIII said he would “slepe and drem upon the matter.”

A Fun Farewell
Sleep, dream, and awaken anew. The best decisions often come when dreaming hasn’t got you blue. Remember, another dawn might just paint the answer to your quandaries crystal clear.
