Refuses to Put Up with Stupidity
Refusing to put up with foolishness might seem like common sense, but it has a storied history stemming back to biblical sarcasm. This phrase comes from the King James translation of the Bible: “For ye suffer fools gladly, seeing ye yourselves are wise” (2 Corinthians 11:19). Paul was, of course, using irony here; he actually meant that those who tolerate fools are themselves fools.
